GEO-C will provide 15 full PhD scholarships among the three universities, Westfälische Wilhelms - Universität Münster (WWMU), Universidade Nova de Lisboa (UNL), Universitat Jaume I de Castelló (UJI) for the Joint Doctorate in Geoinformatics: Enabling Open Cities. The call will open soon and the applications will be available until April 3, 2015.

GEO-C aims to contribute methods and tools to realise smart and open cities, in which all groups of society can participate on all levels and benefit in many ways. The strands of research in GEO-C will lead to an improved understanding of how to build open cities and will produce a prototypical open city toolkit.
